Charley Hames Jr.'s PRESSING RESET gives you the jumpstart to move forward with boldness
There is something validating about a book that reminds us our best days can be still ahead as long as you keep the faith and don't give up. PRESSING RESET is one of those books.
Dr. Charley Hames, Jr. reminds us through his personable style that whatever has come our way in the past doesn't have to keep us from the greatness that God has in store for us. Using the computer---something that ALL of us can relate to---as a metaphor for our lives we are encouraged to refresh, reboot and reset so we can be the best of our selves. "God give you both a power source and a home button," Hames writes. "You can always go back and start over. God allows you to reset."
I have gotten there messages on my computer that tells me a restart is necessary, and I like so many others, tend to delay it as long as possible. Sometimes the computer will alert you that the restart is going to happen, and you just have to deal with it. Hames tells us instead of delaying a reset we should welcome it. "Shutting down has a purpose," he writes. "It is a part of the cyclical part of life and it is necessary to restore, reprogram, and reset the setting to ultimately enhance your performance---moving you forward if you have the courage to press reset."
One of the biggest surprises in the book came when addressing the issue of fear. I have read a lot of books, and I can honestly say I have NEVER read ANYTHING like what Hames says about the subject before in my life. I don't want to spoil it for you in my review, but if you have the print edition it is on page 90. Simply life-changing, and it will certainly help you rethink your own possibilities.
Definitely a book that will help guide you to an upgraded view of yourself and your abilities, PRESSING RESET can give you the jumpstart necessary to move forward with boldness.
