Shut up and Talk

Shut up and Talk (3)

What Do You Look Like On Paper? by Billie Miller

A nice, shiny Mercedes-Benz pulls up to the local bank. The door opens up and a woman’s leg steps out – toes done, 8 inch stiletto heels, toe ring, smooth legs. As she steps out of the luxury vehicle wearing Michael Kors, she walks with confidence into the bank. Her beauty demands the attention of everyone in the building. The banker could barely keep it together when he asked, “How may I help you?” Her lovely voice replies, “Yes, I want to apply for a loan.” As beautiful as she is, before the bank will give her any money, they need to know “What does she look like on paper?”

God Pleaser by Billie Miller

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Hebrews 11:6

There are many people in the world today who are people pleasers. These are simply people who are always trying to satisfy everyone. They will dress a certain way; act a certain way; talk a certain way; to please people. Many go into debt to impress others. They’re sensitive to people’s opinions. They will settle and compromise to get the approval of others. They work hard to fit in and they rarely go against the grain.

“Words can bring death or life! Talk too much, and you will eat everything you say.”

Have you ever heard of the phrase, “You’re going to eat those words”? This is a true statement. Everyone will eat their words. You will be filled with what you eat. If your mouth is filled with doubt and unbelief, then your life will be filled with doubt and unbelief. If your mouth is filled with hatred, then your life will be filled with hatred also. But if your mouth is filled with the Word of God, then your life will be filled with the Word of God.
